in the past few days i’ve really been reminded how much i love photography

i’m proud of my portraits that i’ve been doing

i kinda want to branch out and do more than just portraiture, but i’m not a huge fan of landscape or still life.

portraits are most interesting to me. with portraits you have the most control, you can give direction. landscapes require a huge amount of talent which i just don’t have.

I’m making good use of what i have, which isn’t much. I always laugh when I set up my ghetto studio. fabric pinned to the walls, shop lights attached to my tripod and a vacuum in order to get them at just the right height. but it works, and i’ve gotten used to it all.

playing with lighting has become one of my favorite things so far. I really like dramatic lighting set ups. The more I practice, the more I fall in love with this art
